Frequently asked questions
How do I make a resume for an internship with no experience?
Lead with Education (degree, college, CGPA, relevant coursework), then Projects, then any club roles, volunteering or competitions. Describe each with action verbs and numbers, exactly as you would describe a job.
What should a student put in a resume for internship?
Contact details, a 2-line objective naming the internship you want, education, projects, skills, and certifications or achievements such as hackathons, NPTEL courses or sports. Keep it to one page.
Should I include Class 10 and 12 marks?
For students, yes: add Class 12 (and Class 10 if space allows) under Education, since many Indian companies and internship portals screen on them. Drop them once you have a degree and work experience.
Do I need a different resume for Internshala or LinkedIn?
No. One clean, ATS-friendly PDF works across Internshala, LinkedIn, Naukri and company career pages. Adjust the objective and skills to match each internship description before you apply.
