Resume keyword scanner: match your resume to a job

Recruiters find candidates by searching their ATS for the skills in the job post. Paste the job description and Offerline shows your keyword match, which terms you already have, and which ones are missing.

Scan a job description

  1. Paste the job post: Add the job title and the full description. Nothing is sent anywhere.
  2. See your match: A weighted match score over 350+ skills and terms, with synonyms like k8s and Kubernetes treated as one.
  3. Close the gaps: Add missing skills in one click, then work the most important ones into your bullet points.

How the keyword match works

Offerline finds the skills, tools and methods named in the job post, counts how often each appears, and checks whether your resume mentions them. Terms the post repeats count for more.

It recognises synonyms and spellings (JS and JavaScript, Postgres and PostgreSQL, CI/CD) and ignores everyday words that happen to look like skills, such as “go” or “excel at”.

Frequently asked questions

What match score should I aim for?

Around 70% or more of the post's skills, counting only ones you genuinely have. Below 50% usually means the resume isn't tailored to the role yet.

Does it work for non-tech jobs?

Yes. The dictionary covers sales, marketing, finance, operations, design, healthcare and teaching terms as well as technical skills, and it also picks up product names from the post itself.

Is the job description stored?

It's kept only in your browser so it's there when you come back. It's never sent to a server.
